I'm Oli. I built this on my own, and I'd rather you knew that than not.
I'm 18, self-taught, and I live on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. I don't have a finance degree and I've never worked on a desk. I learned this the way you probably are — by trading badly, reading everything, and slowly working out which explanations actually held up.
I came at options flow from the same direction most of the people using this did. I'd spent a long time drawing structures on charts and getting told that price would return to them, and the thing that eventually bothered me wasn't that it sometimes didn't — it's that when it didn't, nobody could tell me why. There was no mechanism underneath it. Just the shape, and a shrug.
Dealer gamma was the first thing I found that had one. Somebody sold that option. They're short it. They have to hedge it, and the size of the hedge changes as price moves, and that is a real order hitting a real tape for a reason you can follow all the way down. It isn't magic and it isn't always the dominant force — but when you ask “why did price do that”, there's an actual answer available.
The tools that showed me this were, without exception, walls of numbers. They'd render the exposure and leave you to it, and the only way to learn what any of it meant was to pay someone several hundred dollars a month to explain their own product to you. That gap is why VolTix exists. It shows you where the positioning is and then it tells you, in English, what has to happen and why.
I built it solo, using Claude as the engineering team, which is a thing an 18-year-old can now do and mostly couldn't two years ago. I'm not going to pretend that's a team of quants. It means I can move quickly and it means every decision in here is one I made and can explain — including the ones where I removed something I'd already built because it didn't survive scrutiny.
That last part matters more to me than any feature. There was a metric in this product I'd spent real time on and had put on the front page as proprietary. When I stress-tested it properly it turned out to be overfitted with no predictive power, so I took it out — off the dashboard, out of the API, off this website. You'll also notice there are no win rates anywhere here, because the honest sample size doesn't exist yet and I'd rather tell you that than make one up.
If it's useful to you, it's $39 a month and you can leave whenever you like. If something in it is wrong, email me and I'll fix it — that address goes to me, not to a support queue.
